Version: Workspace Macro Pro Automation Edition 6.5.3
"Trojan Reported By Antivirus Program on 2 Computers"
Pros: Old Workspace Macro Pro Version 6.5, bought by me over 1 year ago, worked well in 98% of all cases. There was never a virus or trojan reported.
Cons: Major problem with Antivirus program Avira Antivir in my 2 computers, further explanation below in Bottom-line summary.
Summary: While the old Workspace Macro Pro Version 6.5, bought, installed and used by me over a year ago, worked well, the new Version 6.53 is reported to contain TR/Agent. 1978368.B Trojan, according to the
very good Antivirus Software Avira Antivir Premium. Antivir does not allow me to ignore it and makes it impossible to use on two of my computers. (BUT ONLY THE NEW VERSION!!!)
I have upgraded the software on one computer ... and newly installed a trial version of Version 6.53 on the other. I even downloaded the setup file from 3 different sources, just to make sure that the alleged trojan did not come from a third party. In both cases, the Antivirus program went absolutely ballistic on me.
The publisher explained in a prevous e-mail, that Workspace Macro Pro contains a keylogger, and some antivirus programs report that. I understand that, and it makes sense. However, the old version 6.5 worked almost flawlessly until today in both of my computers, although I used exactly the same antivirus program. ONLY THE NEW version, 6.53, is causing the uproar!
Avira Antivir has received top ratings by CNET and other reviewers and is used around the world. I believe that the Workspace Macro Pro publisher should not continue to ignore the problem and work on it, before they lose sales.

Avira had a bug in their system that wrongly identifies WMP keyboard/mouse code as virus. Avira has fixed it in their latest version. It should now not report it as virus.
