"INCREDIBLE!!!FANTASTIC!!!LOVE IT!!!!"
Pros: This program is WONDERFUL!!! You can program it to be used on your desktop while you are doing other things.
I have it on mine and I have have it set to say the English word once and the Spanish word three times. You can adjust it to however many times you want each word said from 1 to 30.
The voices are VERY CLEAR and easy to understand, so much nicer than the robotic voices of other programs.
This program is also easy for non computer geeks to set up and use.
Words Galore is definately that "Words GALORE" over nine thousand words, divided into groups, as you learn the words you can just dbl click on it and it will be moved over into your "Known Words" column and if you need to move it back just reclick in your known words list to select it and it will move right back to your Words to Learn pile.
You can also test yourself on the words. You may choose different options for testing. You may use multiple choice, fill in the blank or spelling.
You can have the program say the words in both languages, just one language or you may choose to not have it say the words at all. You can be quizzed on all the words in a list or just the ones you need to know.
The producer of the product is working on other languages and I CAN'T wait as I'm trying to learn Hebrew and Chinese also.
This is a FANTASTIC tool to help you learn Spanish and will be great for other languages as he gets them done.

"Great for learning Spanish words"
Pros: This is the best freeware language program I've tried in years. The Spanish speaker's pronunciation is clear and a pleasure to listen to. There are three options for taking tests after using configurable flash card screens for learning. You can also add your own word lists and record the words speaking mp3, but I haven't tried that.
I'm looking forward to someone in the open source movement to elevate foreign language learning software, and this type of thing would be a good place to start.
No spyware or adware, or e-mails wanting you to upgrade.
Cons: Looking forward to the addition of more languages than just Spanish/English.
