A very useful, very handy tool for writing almost anything. I've used it probably thousand of time and always feel very thankful to its developers and publisher!
Cons
Sometimes the synonyms list is unduly short (I used version 5.5). Let's see in 6.75 now. Sometimes the task-bar icon gets hidden (may be fault of my PC).

Does what it claims. It looks up definitions from any program you're in, whether it's your browser, notepad, etc.
Cons
Occasionally when you click on some words, the words somehow end up misspelled and you have to type in the correct spelling but that's the only bug I've found and it's not really a big deal. It just takes a few more seconds to get your definition.

All in all an excellent program that I would highly recommend over all the other choices.

My title nails down the two main features.
Add to that :
1. Firefox Add-On Capability
2. Ability to look up any term quickly with instant connection to Wiki services online.
3. Synonyms, Antonyms, Part of Speech, all collectively displayed in the interface
4. The interface is clean, functional, and efficient
5. Voice functionality to hear the word spoken aloud
and probably more stuff I haven't used yet because this software offers everything I want already with just the surface features.Cons
I applaud the developer for encouraging people to be environmentally conscientious.
It hasn't been an issue for me yet, but I am not looking forward to the pop up windows asking me if I am being sufficiently green.
Also, some of the terms could use more robust synonyms definitions and many terms lack antonyms altogether.
Antonyms are a more specialized dictionary attribute though, so I am not much troubled.Summary

Everyone should have this marvelous piece of software on their computer.
I would encourage Microsoft to buy the software and make it part of Windows 8.
It would enhance the OS immensely in useability. -

The wordweb aids doing crosswords, but doesn't take the enjoyment out of them. My husband loves it.

Fast, sounds out words, auto-complete(helps when you don't quite know how to spell the word), doesn't take up much space. Quick and concise. No distractions such as ads.
Cons
I haven't found any cons with this program. Maybe someday you will be able to use voice recognition with the program.
