Version: WordWeb 5.5
Pros: This has to be one of the most useful online tools I have found to date. Don't know the meaning of a word, right click on it, and if WordWeb doesn't have it, there are other sources available. Very, very good
Cons: I have had no problems with it.

Version: WordWeb 5.5
Pros: It is small and very quick - even on my 5-yr-old desktop with only 256MiB RAM. After just a few hours of using it on our living room desktop, my roommate and I hugged each other - and we Never hug. Here's why I like this dictionary so much:
- it is small, it is very quick (assuming you run it in the system tray, which I recommend you do)
- press CTRL and then right-click on any word, anywhere on the screen (of course, this excludes words that are parts of images, i.e. it only includes rendered text) and a WordWeb window pops up with the definition(s) of the word in the top pane and synonyms, etc., in the bottom pane
- pressing CTRL and right-clicking works within the program itself (!), which means that, if you don't understand a term withing the definition you're currently reading, you can look it up instantly and then go back if you need to
- many words have more than one definition.... well, clicking on the number of the definition in the top pane results in only the corresponding synonyms (etc.) in the bottom pane being shown, while hovering over the number of the definition brings up a tooltip that shows you only the corresponding entries from the bottom pane
- symmetrically, clicking on an synonym (etc.) in the bottom pane highlights (in blue) the corresponding definitions in the top pane
- you can dismiss the WordWeb window with one press of the ESC key
- if you resize the window and the panes within it, WordWeb remembers those settings the next time you bring it up
Cons: It doesn't show translations -- i.e. it's English-only -- but I rarely need to translate anything, and when I do, it's easy enough to find what you need in <10 seconds online, so I'm not bothered at all.
As an English dictionary, it shines. My only complaint is that I can't have it installed in my eye -- guess I'll have to wait for that a little longer....
