    "Great program"

    October 26, 2014  |   By Dave8646

    Version: Wise Registry Cleaner 8.23

    Pros

Ease of use, it tells what`s safe to get rid of, or what isn`t until you say yes.

    Cons

None yet, and don`t expect to find any faults as I`ve used it before.

    Summary

Had this program ages ago and since upgrading PC`s over the years lost it, but for me the best Reg cleaner about. Works a treat, it`s free and gives you options to play with instead of losing all your info in one go,,,,,,,got nothng but praise for it,,,,get it and sort your PC`s problems out in seconds.

    "Not free!!!"

    October 15, 2014  |   By otto12

    Version: Wise Registry Cleaner 8.23

    Pros

I have nothing to say positive because I did not buy into it.

    Cons

Although it says 100% free it does nothing until you buy, or so I think. I didn't buy.

    Summary

I don't like any thing that says free and then won't really work until you buy.

"Greatly reduced the time it takes to open programs!"

    August 25, 2014  |   By craig.knapp1

    Version: Wise Registry Cleaner 8.22

    Pros

Wise Registry Cleaner was easy to install, streamlined my registry, improved boot-up time and greatly reduced the time it takes to open programs.

    Cons

    None so far.

    Summary

    25AUG2014

Wise Registry Editor prevented me from going out and buying a new desktop system, saving me $$$!!!

I have a quad-core Win7 32-bit (thus limited to 4Gb or RAM) desktop system with 1GB video RAM and 4Tb of internal hard drive space.

Despite taking precautions like running Kaspersky Internet Security, my desktop system was taking 30 seconds or more to open MS Word 2010, or ThumbsPlus v9, and nearly 2 minutes to open Adobe CC Photoshop.

Since running Wise Registry Cleaner, MS Word 2010 opens in 4 seconds, ThumbsPlus v9 in about 10 seconds, and Adobe CC PhotoShop in about 35 seconds...12 seconds after it has been opened once, likely due to pre-fetching).

As a power-user taxing my system with Adobe CC (PhotoShop, Adobe Premier Video Editor), database creation/management, etc., I was considering buying a new desktop system. I find that since the Windoze OS (with DirectX solving many previous sound/video card issues) and hardware architecture has matured, I am no longer a slave to the 2-year computer replacement syndrome (new OS or PC game requires more RAM/video RAM..which requires new power supply, which ultimately requires a new system...etc.).

    Updated on Aug 26, 2014

I forgot to mention that my desktop system is about 7 years old....due to maturity of Windoze, DirectX, and hardware architecture, replacing a computer every 2-3 years does not seem necessary any longer.

"The best and safest registry cleaner I have seen"

    May 30, 2014  |   By thos2

    Version: Wise Registry Cleaner 8.12

    Pros

    1) Has three modes of operation depending on your experience and needs.
    2) In normal mode - the one we should all use - it flags possibly unsafe cleans for further investigation before doing anything to them. Also, it gives details of the problem and advises best action.
    3) Reboots when done. I'm surprises CNet flags this as a negative. It is the only way to know the real consequences of any changes to Registry. And, since changes usually lead to the need for at least one more scan, it is vital to reboot before making any more changes.
    4) Is fast and offers defragmentation of registry. I found the latter very safe to use. The PC has markedly snappier responses after this.
    5) Offers comprehensive and automatic backup options so that you can always reverse registry changes if disaster strikes.

    Cons

    None so far

    Summary

This seems to be a very safe and effective piece of software. Contrary to the views of "experts" in magazines, the Windows Registry is very prone to corruption if you reboot during an apparently stalled software installation, for example. Unless you already have some sort of backup, your best recourse is to programs such as this. In my case, a failed driver install stopped my PC booting properly, although I could always boot on second attempt - boring! After weeks of trial and error, I identified Registry as the only possible problem area I hadn't examined thoroughly and eventually tried the Wise Cleaner. In its deep scan mode (don't use this unless you have some idea how Windows works - more accurately how Windows sometimes fails to work!) the Wise Cleaner suggested changes I would never have discovered myself and they worked - my PC now boots as normal!

    "Good performance !"

    May 30, 2014  |   By haoyanan727

    Version: Wise Registry Cleaner 8.12

    Pros

After scanning, the registries would be identified to two types, the safe and unsafe to be deleted.Even I regret to delete some registries, they can be restored by clicking "restore" as the registries has been backed up before cleaning.

    Cons

    None found at present.

    Summary

The favorite registry cleaning program I've experienced. Fairly easy to know how to work, clean my registry entries safely and keep my PC cleaner.

    "nice registry cleaner"

    May 5, 2014  |   By G_nelson

    Version: Wise Registry Cleaner 8.03.530

    Pros

1,simple interface and easy to use. Just one click to scan and clean
2,scanning and cleaning are very fast
3,auto-backup before cleaning. supports to restore to an early point
    4,system optimize and registry defrag
    5,auto update

    Cons

some 'unsafe' problem cannot be fixed, user need to select them manually. I think not all users know whether can remove these 'unsafe' problem. Good news, it will backup automatically.

    Summary

A nice software! CNET Editors' rating is too low, it should be 5 stars.

"Not as wonderful as claimed, in my opinion"

    April 30, 2014  |   By howardferns

    Version: Wise Registry Cleaner 8.03.530

    Pros

Fairly simple to understand and use, if you've used any registry cleaner before. I didn't see any help files, but it does have a helpful forum that is searchable.

    Cons

I installed it on two computers, on the very first use it removed some icons from desktop shortcuts on one machine, while on the other it reordered the shortcuts and added a program to the start menu.

    Summary

Wise RC seems to be more popular than Eusing Free Registry Cleaner that I used before, and it has more features such as optimize and reg. defrag, so I thought I'd give it a try, but after my experience I'm going back to Eusing which never gave me any such problems. You could say I am now wise after the event.
