Using Windward Reports Engine, with AutoTag, you design your own reports in Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint-- programs you know well. No more waiting for development resources! No more back-and-forth endless iterations! Just design and run the perfect report on-the-fly, whenever you need it. It's easy to get started with Windward Reports, in many cases it is just 3 lines of code. Here's how: Create an instance of a report object, passing it the report template (a Word, Excel or PowerPoint document) as a stream. Call the object once for each datasource. You can mix XML, SQL, and your own custom datasources. XML datasources are passed as a stream.
What's new in this version: Version 10.0.4.2 adds Oracle Samples and DevExpress XtraEditors to .net engine install.

"Only one Reference"

Pros
Windward marketing is superb. The answer is YES to everything. Their marketing folks are very responsive.
Cons
The price is very high. One of the people in my company downloaded the trial software but could not get it to work after several days.
Summary
This package is favorably rated by www.dotnetreports.info which appears to be owned by Windward but you'll have to decide. (They both list their addresses on WHOIS as; 2945 Center Green Court South.)
Also the publisher of the first CNet review is named DavidThi808 which is awfully similar to the founder of Windward, David Thielen. Curious, maybe a coincidence, but you'll have to decide.
The time investment in reviewing these types of packages is extremely high, so I'd like to see some reviews that lend the appearance of non-bias before being willing to commit to that kind of effort.
