Although Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are the most popular Web browsers, there are lots of surfers who prefer the style and features of Avant Browser, a customizable app that's based on on the same layout engine as IE.

by tashfeen_m July 9, 2008 12:05 PM PDT: If I'm not mistaken, Avant is based on IE7 (even IE8 so far looks pretty slow; check out http://techqi.blogspot.com/2008/06/and-winner-of-browser-speed-wars-is-not.html). No amount of plugin cunning can ever overcome a speed deficiency, IMHO.; Like this Reply to this comment
