Unless you're using an Outlook calendar without Microsoft Exchange, you can't synchronise calendar to your phone. You have sign into windows live to import calendars in each time. Hardly practical.
Summary
Compared to windows 6.5 with Active Sync you just plug into your PC and mobile and it's done. Why would they take such a HUGE backwars step. Crazy.I have thrown my Windows 7 out and kept my older 6.5 windows mobile.

I'm not so lucky. My new phone came with W7 and I am not pleased either. No way to sync or backup apps, AND as an additional slap in the face, once you download a free app from Zune, if your phone is reset, you try again. No way! Not much time left for them to fix it. Oh yea, they want charge for support on a warranty/new product issue!
