"WOW"
Version: Windows Media Player 11
Pros
First, let me say that I WAS a big user of winamp and hated wmp. I got bored one day and decided to give wmp 11 beta a try. I loved it. winamp has many problems playing videos and that was making me very frustrated. WMP 11 is a lot sleaker than other versions and everyone I know has switched from winamp, realplayer, nero, and a few other programs to wmp 11 because microsoft finally did something right.
I recommend you give it a try.
Cons
The installation was a bit long, but everything eventually worked out.
Syncing media to an mp3 player is different. Songs go on a lot easier but its a bit confusing to delete them.

"Best Media Player Yet"
Version: Windows Media Player 11
Pros
Ive mostly used Winamp, but after downloading Media Player 11, I got rid of Winamp within a couple of hours.
Media Player 11 has a real cool design, and the Library features are the best Ive seen, adding Album Cover designs to the files in My Music in seconds.
The sound is phenomenal. I love it!!

"Great!"
Version: Windows Media Player 11
Pros
I had the beta of this product, and i loved it from the second i got it. The new black interface is the coolest interface i've seen (especially with the blue)
All of the videos in web pages that use media player are updated to this interface once u get it, and it is a huge improvement
I don't use media player for music, but it is great for storing and organizing my videos
Good Job Microsoft
Cons
None

"This is new? Had it since May/06!"
Version: Windows Media Player 11
Pros
Works pretty much as you would expect. No surprises.
Cons
Got excited to see a new WMP...until I realized that I have had WMP11 since way back in May. Why is it new? Unless the others were betas.
Still haven't figured out to this day where the open button is on the gui. I always go to the top and click File and Open, but where is the one-click button on the player itself??

"Eh, it's a good one."
Version: Windows Media Player 11
Pros
I love the sleek new design of it. I love the black and grey. The quickness it opens as, oh man! I'm still finding new features on it. It is an improvement from the old one. I think change is good in most cases.
Cons
First of all, the Album, Artist, Song, ect. icons are humungous. I'm the type that likes my icons small. With this new one, I can't change that. At least I haven't found a way to make them smaller. Second, it eats up about 42,000K of my memory right now (my computer can support it but it's the highest of all the processes.) And third, JetAudio (the one I'm used to) doesn't take up a window on the bottom and uses way less memory. For me, it saves up the window space for more important things and frees some memory.
All in all, it averages down to not download it unless you are really a "Windows Media" dude. I wouldn't reinstall WMP11.

"SUPERB!"
Version: Windows Media Player 11
Pros
*Impressive Incremental Search(faster than Winamp!! my library has about 5000 songs and the incremental search is ULTRA fast)
*I love the drag and drop for album covers
*Library Management is maybe the best feature of the player(lots lots and lots of options)
*New Look
Cons
*Long Installation Time
*DVD playback sucks(poor features compared to software like WINDVD 7)
*Should Be able to find lyrics...
*Memory Usage is high (Right Now 24 MB)
*I guess the novice users will have a hard time learning how to use it.
