"This media player is unstable with 98"
Version: Windows Media Player (Windows 98SE/2000/Me) 9
Pros
Very easy to use and customise, you can select and change skins.
Cons
Very unstable on Wins 98SE, keeps crashing and you have to keep restarting your PC.

"Slow program with bad video quality"
Version: Windows Media Player (Windows 98SE/2000/Me) 9
Pros
I have found none so far
Cons
This slow program with its bad picture quality is not worth the download unless you really need it (which is very likely). It's menus are inimaginative and annoying because they disappear. This is a step backwards for the MediaPlayer. Even if its rival, the RealPlayer is also a long shot from a perfect media player, it is still better than this piece of junk (but it is likely that you will need both)

"A last resort"
Version: Windows Media Player (Windows 98SE/2000/Me) 9
Pros
Nothing, I uninstalled
Cons
I went back to Ver 7.1. Every time I tried to use 9.0 to watch a video it caused my system to freeze and I had to reboot.
Never had that problem with 7.1.
I am running Win 2K.

"Over Rated"
Version: Windows Media Player (Windows 98SE/2000/Me) 9
Pros
I like the advanced skinning that means you can have pretty much any style you desire.
Cons
It weighs down your system, it has a very annoying and fiddly user interface, it's full of unneeded parts that just make it slow. I really dislike this player quite a bit and think WinAmp can kick it's backside in every way. In my opinion, this software really is just annoying and crap.
