"could be better"
Version: Windows Live Messenger 14.0.8117.0416
Pros
it's a free simple to use chat software
Cons
could be so much better. would never have gone back to using it without other software add-ons (messenger plus, etc.)
Summary
I think microsoft should invest a little more in developing this software. we should't have to wait til 3rd party apps take it over and turn it into a mad market industry.

"I like it, it's not bad"
Version: Windows Live Messenger 14.0.8117.0416
Pros
Facebook, call, vids, sports scores, latest news, all in one.
Cons
Minor drain on resources, if you get an up to date computer and quit trying to run Windows that Grandpa used you might not have that poblem.
Summary
Some of you just hate Microsoft, that's plain to see. I guess you think the messenger from hell, yahoo is better? Yahoo is a virus. So is Facebook but I'll take my chances. This is a good program. Some of you are just pissed off because Microsoft finally started to listen it's customers and now you need to find any reason you can to b****h about it. You have a million shortcuts on your desktop and quick start then blame Microsoft cause your computer is slow. The one I am on now is slow even with 4gb of ram but that's because it's a cheap piece of junk. You can't blame Microsoft because you bought a cheap piece of junk.

"Could be improved much more"
Version: Windows Live Messenger 14.0.8117.0416
Pros
None other than the fact that its a good way to keep up with friends (when it works).
Cons
MSN uses too much resources, Hotmail is damn right confusing and slow. Doesn't provide good privacy, half the time I cannot add contacts, barely works at all.
Summary
I will be giving MSN the flick.

"Really, Microsoft? Really?"
Version: Windows Live Messenger 14.0.8117.0416
Pros
Nice and shiny, because that's all a good IM program really needs!
Cons
First off, forced image sharing and the warning page that you just can't turn off. We don't all need mom telling us how to use the internet.
Second, what happened to clicking your display name and being able to change it? Did it NEED to get harder?Summary
I'm just glad I can find older versions of Messenger and use those instead. Good thing Microsoft doesn't force you to update to newer version!

"A fluke, not as good as it should be."
Version: Windows Live Messenger 14.0.8117.0416
Pros
It works, you can message people... Can add facebook mysapce and other external sources.
Cons
Terrible interface, not enough options for setting it up to be how I want it. No longer have nicknames. Force updates, you cannot download an older version you preferred, once you download it, it forces you to update.
Summary
It sucks, terrible. I don't recommend it anymore. Microsoft is taking weird turns with their applications, be careful what you update you probably wont like it.
