"Very good, but not quite perfect!"
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
Easy to setup and keep track of multiple accounts.
Cons
Does not allow stripping away attachments when saving message file.
Summary
May be others with "special features" that are nice, but WLM2011 is my choice for its compatibility with operating system and MicroSoft office software.

"Lovely interface, but many little (and some big) bugs."
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
The interface is good looking, intuitive, and easy to manage.
Excellent visual.Cons
A lot of little (and less little) annoyances and bugs.
1- On 3 different PC (Vista, 7 and 7 64bits) WLM alway have to restart after sending a email. Tw of Pc hab been clean reinstalled, so had been WLM, but problem still persists.
2 - Freeze often.
3- Sometimes, when writing, one can loose the unsend letter.
4- Format (calender, email and adress book) incompatible with competition, so you have to get stick with WLM
4 - I loved stationnary. If not avalaible, a plug-in would had been nice.
5 - Being a "Window live" product, it would be nice to get address book and email account accessible via Sky drive or else.Summary
A nice product, but with so many little bugs. Not as stable it should be.
It seems taht microsoft made more effort to compell people to use this product (and its "Windows Live" brothers) than to make a product with useful or different features.
Frankly, I do really miss Outlook Express. -
"Works fine on XP SP3"
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
Better than OE, imported all the accounts easily, started working straight away.
Cons
Not the latest version. WLM 2011 needs Vista.

"~ Best Email Application. Hand Down. Microsoft or Not."
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
* Fast (after initial downloading of all your email, if your like me I have thousands that I never want to delete!)
* Very Customizable, mail options, security options etc.
* Add digital signature to your emails.
* Contacts right in your application.
* Export/Import Mail.
* Use any Email Service (aol, Yahoo pro, Gmail)Cons
If I could change something I guess it would be making the spam fighter better. I actually use MSN mail (aka hotmail) so I think it is my email provider not the client)
This program is compatible with most Anti-Spam softwares.Summary
Very easy to use. Very nice if you have just one email account or many. Super fast sending and receiving.
Give it a try. If you are normally a Thunderbird fan, you have to try WLM! -
"NoGo on XP"
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
None Seen couldn't open
Cons
When I tried to open, got "not valid 32bit application" message
Summary
Maybe cnet deserves the bad rap for saying this works on XP

"Your ugly 8th grade classmate that became Dior model"
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
Very unique.
1. Solid design. UI and interaction is like MS Office product.
2. Ability to add multiple email accounts and assign color to them.
3. a) Very flexible UI, you can turn it into a very minimalistic.
3. b) Very intuitive, all the views are collapsible and still shows you the email count.
4. Very Feature rich
4. a) Powerful text Formating capability in email (including background highlight for text)
4. b) Powerful IMAGE manipulation in email.Cons
1. If you have 12 IMAP email addresses on it it tends to choke up on startup and needs some 30-60 seconds before it becomes responsive. (my major beef with it)
on the other hand checking 12 IMAP addresses simultaneously takes guts.
2. if you have one or 2 email, you won't notice any lag.Summary
This is a beautiful working solid email client with very sleek UI and interaction animations, tiny details that make big difference are covered.
Its so well put together that latest Thunderbird release UI is horrid and failed attempt to copy its design.
Wishlist:
1. PLEASE RESOLVE THE CHOKING ON STARTUP.
2. Operamail like feature where you can filter mail by attachment type with one click. -
"Windows Live Mail SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!"
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
Supposedly, you can use read receipts. This was the only reason I decided to actually use this program, as I want verification that an email I sent to a vendor was actually received so they cannot claim it was not.
Cons
IT DIDN'T SEND THE EMAIL!!!!!!!!!! It didn't actually send the email, but it didn't keep the draft, either (it was a long email, so I saved periodically), and so I have NO DRAFT nor do I have anything in my sent mail. Long story short, I LOST THE WHOLE DARN THING that I spent ALMOST AN HOUR writing last night! I AM NOT PLEASED!!!!!!!!

"Simple, Clean, Awesome!"
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
Very easy to set up. Clean, very easy to use interface. 100% free.
Cons
Takes a while to load emails on my student account.
Summary
Im a big fan of Apple Mail. Migrating to Windows 7, I first tried Thunderbird due to its popularity and was sorely dissappointed with its cluttered and childish interface. Glad to see the Microsoft equivalent hold its own. Well done Windows!

"Mediocre is giving to high a rating"
Version: Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109
Pros
It's easy to use and set up. You can set default mail, change fonts, color, color of the folder, create sub folders, that type of thing. Like you can with EVERY other mail program out there.
Cons
It drops accounts for no reason, sorting is slow, it drops accounts for no reason, oh, I said that? Maybe because that is what it does best.
Summary
There has to be a better program. I will stick with web mail for now. While clunky, web mail won't just delete my accounts leaving me to have to reprogram all my preferences back in again.
