    "Hate it and can't get rid of it"

    none that I can see

    I haven't found a way to communicate with some organizations to request info because some misguided fool has set up their site so that I must use this program. Opens in background without my permission.

    How could it be invasive, when you installed it? Of course it opens in the background without your permission. It is designed to not have loopholes that someone can use to get around it. Set the permissions to allow everything and then you don't have a problem.
