Version: Windows 98 Dial-Up Networking Upgrade 1.4
"Works fine"
Summary: Download worked just fine for me. Yes it does prompt for your windows cd, not needed though . Like a previous poster said just look for the Windows/Options/Cabs & then click ok. You have to scroll down to find this as it is I think 3 folders down in the selection box. Downloaded fine but unfortunetly my isps server dont allow data encryption so I get error 645. Uninstalling was easy also, Just go to START,SETTINGS,CONTROL PANEL,ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS to delete the updated version, as Microsoft says your old version will still be intact after words. This is a great update if your isps servers allow data encryption, im sure it will slow down your connection maybe just a little but its well worth the 128 bit security it offers. Interesting though when you go to microsoft update site for windows this version doesnt even come up nor have others. Microsoft needs a much easier & better system of handling there patches, this is crazy! They have way to many patches all the time. & there update doesnt for some reason cover them all when they scan your pc. Microsoft get with it with SECURITY!
