"Windows 7 is Awesome"
Version: Windows 7 (Professional) 6.1 - Build 7601
Pros
Fairly stable.
Runs as fast or faster than XP most of the time
Window management (like dragging and dropping windows in one click)
It got me to upgrade from XP, I skipped Vista.Cons
Still do have some stability issues, mostly with running 32bit firefox on 64 bit windows 7. However I would still highly recommend this system.
Summary
Do it.

"Not a very happy up grader!"
Version: Windows 7 (Professional) 6.1 - Build 7601
Pros
Prettier graphics and easier media integration.
Cons
I upgraded because of stability issues with Vista. What happened was that the upgrade just swapped my Vista problems for a new set of Windows7 issues. Unless you need to upgrade wait... for the myriad of service packs that will inevitably arrive.
Summary
The primary issue that now plaques my computer is the inability of Windows7 running on my new 64 bit machine to run 32 bit programs. The only 32 bit programs that hasn't crashed is Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Corel Draw9, both old graphics packages. All my other 32 bit programs crash...even when run in the XP mode. Oh and if your programs won't run under the new operating system, Windows7 lets you run the incompatible application in what is called the XP mode. That is if you purchased Windows7 Professional or Win7 Ultimate, as the Home Premium version does not offer that feature.
Here are a few programs that now always lock, hang or crash...with many of the hangs requiring a restart. MS Streets 2008, MS Flight Simulator X, Roxio Creator 2009, Cyberlink DVD Suite, DigitalPersona Personal, EA Sims3, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome just to name a few. Upgrade only if you have really have a need! -
"It works great, a real improvement on Vista"

Easy to use, and i think it is faster than XP or Vista
Cons
I still think program could be made easier to use for the non professional users
-
"Informative, concise"
Version: Windows 7 (Professional) 6.1 - Build 7601
Pros
not being a "tech" the information presented shows a promising program that will improve my computer
Cons
will it allow for the programs already on my present Vista computer be available, will all aspects of my peripherals work on 7 or will I have to upgrade them also?
-
"Best windows ever! Never going to switch back!"
Version: Windows 7 (Professional) 6.1 - Build 7601
Pros
Everything is much easier, sinpler, faster and fun to do than windows.
Much better than clunky old XP.Cons
Wastes a lot of time during startup, simply showing the boot animation.
Summary
