No matter what themes, backgrounds, or colors you choose, certain aspects of Windows always remain the same. WindowBlinds doesn't revolutionize the functionality of Windows XP, but it does give you more control over the cosmetics through themes that change the taskbar and windows within the operating system. You'll find very good integration with XP in this release, as configuration options are easily accessible from the Windows Display Control Panel. The new WindowBlinds also gets high marks for performance; we found the skins loaded seamlessly after a couple of seconds. A performance slider lets users with slower PCs choose a setting that won't interfere with the normal operation of their machines. This release offers a few interesting thematic options, such as iSkin, which portrays the look and window control buttons of the Mac interface while retaining the functionality of the Windows Start menu. If you want to edit the themes through the program, you'll have to install the publisher's SkinStudio. Bored Windows users might get a kick out of WindowBlinds.Publisher's description
From Stardock :Customize the look and feel of Windows 2000 or Windows XP with WindowBlinds. It can change virtually every aspect of the Windows GUI such as title bars, push buttons, the Start bar, radio buttons, and scroll bars. WindowBlinds is what Microsoft, nVidia, ATI, Nintendo, and many other companies use to provide additional visual styles for Windows users. Try it for yourself. WindowBlinds also supports the ability to change toolbar icons and progress animations.
WindowBlinds 4.6 enables users to have semitransparent pieces in the Start menu, adds support for the 64-bit version of Windows XP, and enhances support for instant-messenger clients. It also supports glowing effects on title bar buttons and other controls.

Version: WindowBlinds 4.6
"Nice easy way to customise Windows"
Pros: Easily allows you to tailer Windows to your taste, doesn't seem to consume much more resources since my old PIII 500MHz can handle it just fine.
Cons: Annoying nag screen at startup

Version: WindowBlinds 4.6
Pros: Not a thing, except that you can uninstall it.
Cons: Maybe I was just the lucky one, but my pc is slow because of this thing. It made it so I couldn't change themes unless I uninstalled it, which I did with happiness. This is not a good product. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. TRUST ME.

Version: WindowBlinds 4.6
"Only as a excuse to reformat"
Pros: At first its fun, You can download some good looking skins from some sites
Cons: After a few months of use my computer went extremely slow, windowblinds eventually used up 100% of my RAM at startup leaving none for windows to start, I started my computer and logged in and was met with a black screen, My computer was useless and i had to resort to reforrmatting as i couldnt access anything. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!!

Version: WindowBlinds 4.6
"Amazing product! But slightly annoying..."
Pros: There are hundreds of skins to customize your windows theme. With the full version you can fully customize your whole computer but the trial is more than enough to satisfy my needs. The program itself runs extremely light so you dont have to worry about bogging down the computer.
Cons: The only complaint I have about WindowsBlinds is the annoying popup at startup prompting me to either buy or continue trial. It doesn't hurt anything or slow down startup... It's just plain annoying.
