"Feel like a sucker paying for Winamp"
Pros: It actually worked until i upgraded
A lot of online stuff available if you want that sort of stuffCons: Support is TERRIBLE..... I can use my hotmail account to pay for the product but somehow I cannot port that over to their forum to get answers?
The DJ and mixing from 1 tune to the next capabilities are very weakSummary: Look elsewhere or at the very least DO NOT waste your money paying for Winamp until you are sure you can get it work.... yourself because support is no good. But that is what I should have expected from AOL. Upgraded the product because they refuse... read more

"Great product. Don't know how I would do without it!"
Pros: Very straight forward for an non-techie like me to use.
Cons: Just a bit slow starting.
Summary: Again, I used Nero for all of my audio projects prior to purchasing Winamp. I still use Nero a lot, but find myself relying on Winamp for file conversions, etc. read more

Version: Winamp 5.56
Pros: I've always liked Winamp. Great skins, equalizer is awesome (especially volume gain), some of the best visualizations; the whole package is great.
Cons: Worked great w/ XP Pro but not so good w/ Vista--keeps freezing up. A list of the visualizations would be nice; no way to find a fav. Vista won't alow Winamp to be default player-when I use RealPlayer it changes default back

Cons: Changing the pictures of the artists is not at all easy. With Windows Media Player this feature is simple - just a question of "paste" - pity this is not as simple in Winamp.
Summary: Windows Media Player 11 has a serious problem with sw synth that Winamp does not have. In WMP 11, if a loaded MIDI file is not CLOSED first, then closing WMP results in the sw synth slider defaulting to zero. This causes a further problem then if a ... read more
