"The email add on does not work with 64 bit Vista"
Version: WinZip 14.5.9095
Pros
easier to use than winrar
Cons
the add on for email which costs extra does not work on 64 bit Vista
Summary
it does do unzipping and is an improvement, but I feel not to update the email add on ( which with usual extras made the bill £60+) is a really unfortunate own goal; but then winzip have arguably been slow to update 14 in the first place. In their favour the customer service dept. were very good to deal with, and the only way they could help was to refund the whole amount, which of course, meant I then had to uninstall 14.5 as well. So, got 14.0 as a deal on other services from an affiliate instead.

"Standard tool in the toolbox"
Version: WinZip 14.5.9095
Pros
Winzip does what it does very well. It uncompresses most of the standard formats and does it fast.
Cons
Even though the UI has been updated, it still seems a little "old style". It could use some enhanced UI work.
Summary
Great tool that no Windows machine should be without.

"The best overall zip tool"
Version: WinZip 14.5.9095
Pros
It is very easy to use because of the right-click menu choices. I especially like the extra compression available--when you can get the recipient to have the 14.5 build, too. Everyone will get there, in time.
Cons
Getting used to the terms WinZip uses with its icons.

"Finally, a WinZip for the 21st century"
Version: WinZip 14.5.9095
Pros
Interface is Hands Down Amazing, speed and integration are as great as ever.
Cons
Interface takes a little getting used to, but that's true of all things that change, overall this product has no flaws - at least that I can tell.
Summary
I have been a user of WinZip for a while now and I use it on an almost daily basis. It's a great utility, but lets be honest - the UI looks like it hasn't been actively invested in in about 4-5 years, sure it got smoother but it still looked dated. Now that's all changed. For the first time in it's history, I actually feel like WinZip is a cutting edge piece of technology that lives up to its legacy. The Microsoft Office inspired UI is a welcome change, providing a elegant interface that actually lets you use all those tools that the formerly oversimplified UI hid behind drop menus and option/preference pages. What's more, despite the heavy cosmetic changes, WinZip 14.5 manages to keep all the speed and integration of version 14.0. All and all, this makes WinZip the one of the best archiver utility's around, and certainly the number one when it comes to the UI. $30 may seem a little high for some people but considering the quality of what you get it's a no brainer, especially if you use archievers and de-compactors on a daily basis like me. Download it now and give it a try, you will be amazed at how much has changed.
P.S. This is a genuine post, it's just that this product is really that worthy of praise.
