  Version: WinZip 11.2

  "Not easy to start."

  Pros: Very nice icons and simple interface.

  Cons: I used to have this but then I started preferring WinRAR. WinZip doesn't archive or extract as fast as WinRAR. The program is pretty big (for what it does), and takes a while to use. Also not worth your time when it doesn't extract .RARs (which is used almost as much as Zip files. Doesn't seem like it extracts many compression file types either.

  "This is a much improved application."

  Pros: This is the best version of "WinZip' yet. Now that it's compatible with most "RAR' file types it's much better. In my opinion. there are only two compression applications worth investing in. The other is "WinRar'. Both work great with "Vista" so basically, it's the users preference. I bought "WinRar" before this version was released so I'll stick with it. If you need a free compression application, check out "7 Zip".

  Cons: Still not compatible with all "RAR" file types but is with most.

  "Too Many Nags"

  Pros: Works Great.

  Cons: I use ZipGenius. It's similar to WinZip, works as good as WinZip, and, since it's Freeware, it doesn't have WinZip's constant nag screens.
