At some point, every computer user has watched her PC churn and wondered if there were some way to tune it up. Experienced hackers can get into the guts and do it themselves, but for ordinary computer users there are programs like WinXP Manager, which help tweak settings to speed performance, start-up, and shutdown.
The suite gives access to the inner workings of the XP operating system, including the Registry, file system, security settings, and details of the interface. The program's own compact interface effectively keeps this wealth of options organized, and an easy-to-use wizard helps guide new users through the initial process of optimizing the PC.
We recommend WinXP Manager to inexperienced computer users who want to boost the performance of their systems without digging into the internals.

Version: WinXP Manager 5.1
Pros: It has many options to choose from and has a 1-click maintenace button that takes care of almost everything. You don't need to be an expert to use all the options, you just need to know how to read! If you are unsure of what something does, search it out on the internet. If you are not sure, don't do it. It sped up my dsl and cleaned registry items. Take your time and go through each tab.
Cons: It froze up a few times, so I ended the process and re-ran it. I'm still on the trial version.

Version: WinXP Manager 5.1
"I like it, better than Tuneup Utilities"
Pros: I have tried both the latest WinXP Manager and Tuneup Utilities. WinXP Manager provides a better interface in my opinion. e.g. I like how the system Information actually give me short of a layout of my motherboard. I can also do much more tweaking compare to Tuneup Manager. It has all the tools I need, from registry cleaning to adjusting display so it doesn't hurt my eyes! I also like how they group the Windows Utilities section in Misc. Utilities, so I can still use some tools from xp to do disk clean and tune up in one place. Their support seems to be good, responsed to my email very quickly (within the same day). I have heart horror story regarding support from Tuneup Utilities. I highly recommend this tool! Oh, and upgrade to Vista Manager is free too!
Cons: Two things however I am impress with Tuneup which WinXP Manager doesn't have. Tuneup was able to figure out my motherboard name even though the manufacturer never named it. Second, WinXP Manager does not have a disk doc interface to do chkdsk, I need to do it manually.

"Yamicsoft Customer For Years & For Life"
Pros: The Team there at Yamicsoft never ceases to amaze me. For years, I have always received lightening fast responses to whatever I have asked for or needed. Yamicsoft sets the bar and stands alone in providing world class customer service excellence (an ideal on the verge of extinction) that leaves all others in the dust and to shame. WinXP Manager is an all-in-one precision utility that a novice will find easy to use with confidence; and "experts" will find to be all encompassing with unlimited function and control. Yamicsoft, I mean every word of it and, as always, I thank you.
Cons: NOT ONE.
