At some point, every computer user has watched her PC churn and wondered if there were some way to tune it up. Experienced hackers can get into the guts and do it themselves, but for ordinary computer users there are programs like WinXP Manager, which help tweak settings to speed performance, start-up, and shutdown.
The suite gives access to the inner workings of the XP operating system, including the Registry, file system, security settings, and details of the interface. Pros: Very powerful and provides a vast range of tweaks & fixes.
I had a problem with my 3 CD/DVD drives not reading any discs. I posted my dilemma in a tech support forum, but none of the [several] suggestions helped. WinXP Manager includes a certain Hardware Repair fix called "Missing CD-ROM" that solved my problem with ONE click!

Pros: Work well, this software is great, eazy to use and spyware free, it's full trial version. Exellent for repair registry and clean up your PC but care of too much clean if you have no technical experience on PC. Windows XP ask me for the XP installation CD for missing files after few scan and clean-up. But no problem after put the XP CD in.

"A very helpful tool, and easy to use."
Pros: This manager has a clean interface and is written in plain English. You can use almost any tool that you can think of, and it actuallyspeeds up your computer.
Cons: Its paid, and only a 15 day trial. Maybe the next version will have a spyware scanner along with it.
