I've been using Winpatrol from the very first day it was released in almost 25 computers. With Winpatrol, you're the BOSS. You can disable or delete any automatic starting program including anything you won't see in Windows inteface, get great knowledge on various DLL's or EXE's that are loaded may be for no reason at all. You can stop a software easily too... I hope the new versions of Windows include a facility that Winpatrol offers. Totally free & with only a small donation you have all the help through the internet on various files which you wonder what they are even for. I RECOMMEND Winpatrol with all my heart. Thanks BillP Studios for all your effort.

Well, I'm pretty computer saavy but I wasnt quite sure how to use the program. All I was able to do was use the startup program list feature. I couldnt find a scanner on it, then again im not sure it has one. Not for the unexperienced.

"It's FREE but I needed to feed the dog !"

It seems to catch all the occasional bad things that want to invade my PC. Free does an excellent job. One weekend my M$ OS went out. I reinstalled and did not want to connect to tne Internet until Scotty was on patrol. It was Sunday AM. I emailed from another PC and my pass code was sent on Sunday! Since then I pay the low price gladly for my other PC's. One of the best uses of SAFE computing available anywhere. Not only does it protect but if you are not sure it gives you the research on what it trying to get into your system. Priceless. The paid for version gives you all the information and source.

"An Absolute musst have Program"

The program has most of the immediate needs i find important to working with my system. One of the greatest features is the INFO feature that it offers. This is not available in the standard windows interface. It is plain, simple to use, easy to understand, and figure out. I found this product so useful i paid the small fee for the PLUS version.
If you do not buy it, at least use this great program and all that it offers.

i found no negatives to this program. Although i can think of things i might consider as add ons that would fall inline to the features it already has built in to it.

"This is my Guard Dog in my pc...!!!"

WinPatrol is one of my best real time system monitor as it didn't require high ram memory. It guards my system like a real guard dog. Aside from that Scotty looks similar to my Border Collie black dog, one of the happiest dog I've ever own...always alive, and active. The free version even works fine the plus has real-time monitoring. All in all, this is one of the best. Try it for yourself and you'll agree it works day and night patrolling your system and will bark if it detects something stranger in your pc.

This prog. (WinPatrol) is one of the very best I've come accross for keeping a watchful eye over what "Windoze" gets up to behind your back!
I've had an older version of it on my PC for quite a while now and never had any bother from it. (Quite the opposite, in fact!) - Give it a go. I don't think you'll regret it!

What a great security program. Lots of options and monitors your PC in real-time and will alert you whenever ANYTHING changes or if anyone tries to compromise your system.Can't go wrong with always running this on your PC having Scotty the watchdog keeping you safe 24/7
