    "This is not free"

    April 22, 2013  |

There were none that I could see because I wouldn't pay for it.

I downloaded this, and it scanned my computer and found thousands of so-called errors. But then when it went to repair them, it said it would only repair 50. To fix the rest I would have to buy the full version. This is being misrepresented as free. I don't know why it's getting so many good reviews.

This review is not for this software. Windirstat doesn't scan for errors, it just charts disk usage.

I also downloaded and installed and had a totally different experience. Is it possible that you clicked on the advertisement and did install a different program than WinDirStat? The ads look like they are the actual download buttons, but they are not.

You must be reviewing the wrong program. The source code is freely available in multiple places. Check the project website at for all the details.

Thanks. I have no use for developers who lie to consumers.Or shall I use the new-speak terms, false advertising or bait and switch trickery. Its the moral principle that matters. I would definitely buy from any one other than these liars. It really is frustrating to be victimized into wasting valuable time. May Jehovah God richly bless you for this valuable review.
