Pros
If you want to know everything that is on your computer, and i mean everything in great detail and lots of information, Win Audit 2.29 is the utility program to get, it took my two hours just to skim the surface of all the information that win audit gave me, the interface is easy to navigate through and the program comes in a zip file.

"Does what it's meant to."
Version: WinAudit 2.29
Pros
I down loaded it for just one thing, to find out how long my system had been up and running since I had performed some minor fixes. But it produces a ton of information which could very well come in handy next time I have problems. Interesting feature is that you can export all the data in different formats including to an Excel type spread sheet. Might very well come in handy for either tracking or sending of to Tech Support, my son.
Cons
Can't think of any.

"Didn't report all my hard drives = unacceptable"
Version: WinAudit 2.28.2
Pros
It's free (but potentially useless)
Cons
It didn't report all my hard drives, and that makes me wonder what else it's missing out...
Summary
I have 3 hard drives. 1 x 1tb internal, 1 x 500gb internal, and 1 x 1tb external. This program didn't report the 500gb internal, and after noticing that 'small' overlook, I can't possibly put any faith in anything that it says.
I'll be sticking with SIW by Gabriel Topala. -

"In-depth system info with an easy to use user interface"
Version: WinAudit 2.27
Pros
Fast, light-weight, easy to use, comprehensive system info, reports in various file formats, runs from anywhere, no installation or unstallation.
Cons
"Find files" searches only the local drives. You'll find other cons when you begin using it to assist you in problem solving.

"Comprehensive info, easy-to-use."
Version: WinAudit 2.27
Pros
So easy to run, yet so customizable. Incredibly comprehensive report of both hardware and software components. Great to document a laptop in the event of its loss. Reports produced in text, pdf, even worksheet format.
Cons
Can't think of ANY.
Summary
On a personal level, I use WinAudit about once a year to document my home systems (a couple of desktops and laptops). The information would be great for insurance purposes in the event of a loss. At the office I use it to document our corporate systems as required by law.
