Version: Win-Spy Software Pro 8.8 build 136
"Darn near worthless as advertised"
Pros: The advertised features would be great if any
of them worked!
The straight install works fine but the remote KL is about worthless.
Cons: The remote email function only works with THEIR free email, supereasymail.com, any attempt to use a different smtp mail server doesn't work. The test dialog box simply sticks on " connecting" Even though they tell you you can.
I tried several different known good smtp servers and same result every time.
When testing their email server, it attempts to connect to a server at yourgiftgivaway.com when sending the test email! What is this?
It's almost as if the program is set up to frustrate you into using THEIR free email.
Also setting up a remote, with the .ppt extension, the package does not deploy. Tech support says they will look into it.
No response yet.
The .xls remote package when executed, Excel asks if you want to install the attached KL? What kind of joke is this?
The only package I was able to successfully test was the .exe package with logs sent to
THEIR sponsored email. Which by the way, will not send outgoing emails, I got a outgoing mail not enabled error. But no way to check how to fix it.
I can't believe there wasn't more thorough testing on this before release.
