"Simple program - Does what it says and works great!"
Pros: In case you don't know what white noise is, white noise is basically a sound that masks out other noises, and white noise includes static or similar sounds. You can use any sound clip you want, but it comes with a great one that sounds like rain, or maybe a crackling fire. It's very soothing! It's great for masking out snoring, construction noise, or just about any other noise.
This program is only $5, it's tiny and does exactly what is says it does, nothing more, nothing less. Great program!
Cons: None. Would be nice if the program was free perhaps, but $5 isn't bad.

Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros: The cost is only $5.00.
Cons: The default white noise is kind-of creepy after a while. At first it just sounds like racket. After a while, it does seem to drown out other noises from other rooms. (I was using it trying to go to sleep with a husband banging around in the kitchen and an active 4 year-old playing in the frontroom.) After a while I found myself concentrating on the sounds and could make out a tick-tock, a jet plane sound, a bubbling brook, and rainfall. Then I started hearing what sounded like an low voice chanting "Just like you". Too creepy, and not relaxing. It was hard to get it to play other white noises, and it's not a plesant interface. It's better than nothing, but barely.

Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros: This program works exactly how it's supposed to. I enjoy turning it on when I'm at work so that I don't hear all the people talking as they walk in the hallway. I get so much more work done not having to listen to other people it's amazing! I just purchased the non-shareware version, It's so cheap I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't buy this gem.

"I like it better than pure white or pink noise"
Pros: It works. It is not too high pitched. The person who found it "creepy" may have reacted to an initial impression. The listener can imagine a fire roaring and crackling - or hear dripping in a cave. But I got used to it in a few minutes.
Cons: The steady drip reminds one of an infamous torture technique. In future versions the developer might consider changing it.
