"Hands down the BEST site builder for the average joe."

    April 3, 2014  |   By chasingcarz

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

Easy to use and gives you full artistic control that is only bested by people who can build their own sites using code. Caters to html illiterate people. As a default, it literally walks you through every step of the site building process as you build. Its just amazing.

    Cons

I hate that I have to think of a con because I have has zero problems with weebly. In fact, when I signed up with ipage, someone called ME to see if I needed help setting up my account but weebly was so easy that I actually needed NO help. Not even with the verification thru google.

    Summary

I have been building sites for kids and such for a long time and Weebly is, hands down, the best site builder I have ever used. Its so easy to build fabulous pages that I dont understand the negative views. It makes adding html and code SO easy I can't even fathom using another site builder again. It puts wordpress to shame, to be honest. Here is a wordpress site building page www.creepypastapeeps.wordpress.com and here is the weebly page at www.creepypastalegends.com. There's no comparison to what you can do to a page and the freedom of control you have. I have no affiliation with them nor to ipage but after TEN years of creative site building I can attest to the wonder of Weebly and the ease of ipage and BOTH are worth every red cent, which also happens to be cheaper than other site builders. In LOVE with weebly. Thank god someone figured out how to cater to non-tech people like me so that I can produce great designs and have complete artistic control.

    "Weebly isn't really free."

    February 20, 2014  |   By kdm98

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

The software is good for novice website builders.

    Cons

I gave this to an employee to update our website, but found out that THIS ISN'T FREE. Once designed, you have to pay to upload it anywhere and it is monthly. You either pay weebly to host your site or you pay them monthly to upload the site to your own. There is no option to one time pay to upload the site that was created.

    "User friendly"

    February 19, 2014  |   By sandylns1

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

This is an excellent web site design suite. Plenty of templates to choose from, or create one yourself. Web site is easy to navigate with fairly helpful features. You have the ability to link to Facebook and other social media with built in widgets. Weebly also hosts your domain or you can purchase one from them. Not the cheapest hosting service but it doesn't seem to crash like others. Also seems to be spam free.

    Cons

No free email accounts. They have partnered with Gmail for $4 a month.

    Summary

I have used Weebly for a couple of years and host two web sites on their platform with excellent results.

"For the price (free), Weebly is second to none."

    October 23, 2013  |   By Tollbridge

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

Weebly gives the user a large selection of predefined templates of which company logos, photos, blogs etc. can be added to give each site a new look which surpasses the quality of nearly all other user created websites I've come across. I have paid so called 'professional site builders' to represent my brand and after only 2 hours I had built a site I was proud of and I have received many compliments from clients. The mobile apps available on Android and ios are stable and facilitate quick updates and media uploads.

I can see many individuals, families and small business owners using Weebly to create professional looking sites as an alternative to Facebook pages. The potential for Weebly in my opinion has not yet been fully realized.

It's now possible for anybody to have a website online that doesn't resemble the days of Geocities.

Premium users have access to detailed site stats on a simple dashboard layout. Each site can be saved in code for extra reassurance.

    Cons

As a premium subscriber I'd enjoy the option to have access to a larger variety of stock, digital rights free image gallery. With that exception I feel I have access to one of the most user friendly services available.

    Summary

o Weebly is the simplest website builder I have come across. It takes literally hours to create a fully customizable website that any business owner would be proud to upload and show to the world. You can then track how the world views your site daily, monthly easy-to-use statistical application, either sent to your email or via a stable ios / Facebook app. As a small businesses owner, the paid version was absolutely worth the invement providing me with valuable statistics for SEO.

    "Excellent free option.. highly recommended!"

    July 10, 2012  |   By mootrix

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

    Unlimited pages and unlimited bandwidth
Out of the box mobile support: see your website on your mobile phone!
Online website builder is relatively quick and very easy to use.
Support for editing html and CSS for more advanced users
Lots of themes to choose from.
Option to download you entire website to your computer.
There more but I'm tired of typing ;)

    Cons

5 MB limit of uploads (minor problem eliminated with PRO account)
None that really harmed my experience.

    Summary

Weebly is an excellent platform to create your own websites without knowing the inner workings of HTML and similar technologies. And even if your do know HTML and CSS you can edit your website to a great extent and save it as a custom template. The professional themes really bring out the best in weebly. It really is amazing how easy it is to create and update content on your website.

Note: As with all free online website creators your pages will come with a standard 'created with weebly' phrase that can be removed if you upgrad to the pro (paid) version of Weebly.

Also make sure you follow the terms of service (ToS), Weebly as with any other free website offering has the right to shutdown your website without notice if you violate their terms. Make sure you have read and understood what is prohibited and what is allowed, otherwise you may just lose your website.

Even if your are still unconvinced, try it out. You have nothing to lose but your time.

    "I LOVE IT!"

    April 16, 2012  |   By jimmysincerely

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

East to create and maintain. I've created multiple pages, picture pages, and absolutely love it. I have also received so many compliments on my website. And I didn't even need any help to do anything. I did it all by myself.

    Cons

I've used Weebly for about a year now and have had no issues whatsoever.

"Easy to use, easy to edit, - anyone can use it!!"

    April 2, 2012  |   By Skydiver7777777

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

We've been using Weebly for a while now and love its ease of use, the simply way to editing pages, uploading videos, adding files and everything else you can do with your sites. The HTML insert tool is one of the best things on offer.

    Cons

It won't protect your files if you want to sell an e-product. You need to link it to a service like EJunkie if you want to have your files secure.

    Summary

We love it and are sure it will continue to grow its features. The only issue for a newbie is that there is no structure how to go from registration to publishing a professional look site, so we created a guide at http://www.HowDoIGetAWebsite.co.uk and we think nearly anyone would find it useful to create their first website.

"Weebly may not be perfect, but it is almost there"

    April 8, 2011  |   By Weebly-Templates

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

    * Free - with all the basic tools available
    * Easy to use - very intuitive
    * Quick to launch

    Cons

    * You need to have some basic HTML / CSS coding background in order to make any "sophisticated" changes

    Summary

Bottom line - you're getting A LOT of value already with a free platform such as Weebly. If you don't upgrade to Pro, it's still a fantastic tool for everybody to start off in the world of website building.

There are other services around Weebly that may help complete a Weebly user's experience. If you don't know how to code with HTML / CSS to design your website layout, there are other independent template providers that offer up very nice templates at a very reasonable price. Since you're getting Weebly for free already, this is a very good value proposition. An example is DivTag. It really fills in a gap for those Weebly users that want good templates beyond the basic default Weebly themes. Here's their address:

"Very easy and fun to use website building tool!"

    January 3, 2011  |   By chanqinco

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

Weebly is free to use and no setup or installation is needed. They have many templates to choose from and their drag and drop interface is simple and user-friendly.

    Cons

There is a 'Create a free website with Weebly' footer at the bottom of the created site. This can be removed only after you have upgraded to the Pro version.

    Summary

I have always wanted to build my own website.

I have tried reading books about 'C-programming', 'HTML', and 'Dreamweaver', but always seem to either fall asleep by the fifth page, or equate what the book was saying to nuclear physics.

Therefore, I am very thankful and grateful to Weebly for providing such an excellent and easy to use website building tool.

"Weebly is easy to use but is WAY TOO SLOW."

    June 1, 2009  |   By komputerkurt

    Version: Weebly 1

    Pros

    Weebly is easy to use

    Cons

it is way too slow and takes way too long. Yola looks almost the same but has more banner flexibility and is faster. Piczo alows you to put alot of stuff anywhere.

    Summary

I really like the simplicity of weebly but just hate that it is so slow. It was impossible to manage the text on my blog page and any other blank page so its pretty much useless. Some of my friends also have this problem.
