Version: Webroot Spy Sweeper 5.5
"Oh.. not very good even now."
Pros: This program used to be my favorite and this was before I knew anything about computers and stuff. I liked it a lot and it was highly rated about two years ago.
Cons: Ever since then I stopped using it. Although I read that the anti-virus is separate, who would want it anyways? I remember having it, and the scans took hours! And the anti-virus is never accurate-to-date like Norton and AVG. Bad enough, Spy Sweeper takes a while to scan, why make it harder for the buyers and users?

Pros: I used to think it was pretty good.
Cons: This product is completely useless. The limitations during the 15-day trial is showing how obvious Webroot desperately want money. Free antispyware products are so much better.

Pros: Thorough scan....................(very slow)
Cons: Used to be a good program, but since newer releases, it has conflicts with my pc, freezing, pc slower,system hog.When booting my pc it used to hang there, and hang and hang.Webroot have gone back in time and not forward.To be honest the free "Spyware Terminator" is as good or even better than spysweeper.I dont think I would have Spysweeper on my pc even if it were free.
I use, Spy Emergency,Norton Antibot and Spyware terminator, and my pc just purrs along nicely.So in a nutshell, SpySweeper?.. you're outa here!!

Cons: Tied up my computer. Took me an hour to undo all the problems and get it out of my computer. DO NOT BUY IT !

"System hog but does it's job pretty well..."
Pros: It is constantly checking for updates and spyware
Cons: It does not allow for things like adaware 2007 or other helpful software to be installed. I also just recently had a friend of mine who had this on their computer get some spyware that it let slip by. However, the most important complaint that I have is that it is a system hog. With a min. of 256 MB of Ram that it uses (and believe that is really bare minimum) it uses every bit of your resources trying to keep itself up and running. I give this a 2 because it does stop a lot of spyware but it just gives you a different headache to try and mess with.
