    Version: Webroot Internet Security Essentials

    "Misses a lot"

by tnleafer on December 3, 2009

Pros: The spyware protection runs quietly in the background withut slowing my machine.
    Simple install

Cons: Missed Trojans on 2 occasions. I called for removal assistance, they charged me $50 and told me to download and run malwarebytes??
It was already on my machine. Needless to say I am shopping for new protection.

Summary: Webroot was a good antivirus program, Internet Security Suite doesn't cut the mustard.
They should be spanked for using malwarebytes to clean up their failures, and have the nerve to charge for the recomendation, find a new security suite

    "The best of the best."

    by reviewer1st on October 5, 2009

Pros: This software found a file called - "MYWEB" addressed as Malware/VIrus/Spyware that other security software just didn't find and stop.I done test myself to see if this file was a virus and it was, it replicated itself over and over and over.

Cons: Doesn't protect against "SPAM" emails. It protects again viruses/spyware/malware, but not spam.

Summary: This is the best security software you will find anywhere to stop viruses/spyware/malware or rootkits IMO. Where this lacks as a total internet security program is it's lack of attention towards stopping "SPAM" in emails. The thing with VISTA which i... read more

    "Excellent Software for Windows Vista"

    by wbr229 on July 10, 2009

Pros: Have Windows Vista, SP2, no problems. Easy to install and use. Does not hog resources like Norton. Used Kaspersky and could not use Itunes because it stated that Quicktime had a virus, even though I just updated. Norton hogs resources.

    Cons: None. Product is excellent

    "better protection elsewhere"

    by UltraGeek1111 on June 13, 2009

Pros: good value - 3PC's & data backup, has earned most recent VB100 awards for XP and Vista (Apr '09 & Dec '08 respectively), reputable company

Cons: virus removal is sub-par compared to Norton or Kaspersky, product rarely updates automatically
