"Product Does Exactly What It Promises"
Version: WebCamDV 2.1
Summary
This product is fantastic. It is the best product out there right now for transforming a DV Camera into a Webcam.
Features: Not many, but the most important one is the functionality...flawless. Use your DV on chat programs, home security programs, etc.
Ease of Use: A snap to install(on XP, you have to say it is okay to run this untested software during installation), and no configuration once installed. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5, is because it isn't clear what to expect after download. This program is a PLUG-IN, you won't see a program group or any icons...you will only see 'wcdvtray.exe' running as a process in Task Manager. However, once you plug in your camera, and turn it on, an icon will appear in your system tray.
Stability: No problems yet.
Speed: Tiny little plugin, runs super quick.
Conclusion: A great product. Get a super high quality webcam for 20 bucks! Not $100-$150! -

"Very nice and easy to use"
Version: WebCamDV 2.1
Summary
This might be one of the easiest programs in the world to use.
All you have to do is install then plug in your camera. If know how to use a webcam in MSN or Yahoo messenger then this will be a snap.
I dont know what those other guys were thinking but I just love this program. -
"Worked under XP for me."
Version: WebCamDV 2.1
Summary
A little tricky. There was no tray icon, but it WAS running. I used it with Y! messenger. You have to have your camera OFF. In Y! do the "Start WebCam" and you'll see the "WebCamDV" logo. You can then turn your camera on and it should work.

Installed it 3 times.. and not only does it not creat a desktop icon (so now I have to go find it) it will not open.. course, I AM using XP (SHOCKING) so I can't say for sure if it is totally worthless or not. Glad I didn't buy it! Hope I can find another program that does this though :(
