Version: Web Page Maker 3.03
"Kick Ass Program"
Pros: This is the FASTEST and EASIEST way to build multiple web sites there is. Plug in even the most difficult javascripts easily - insert menus, flash movies, videos of all types, create and insert custom headers fast - and it's all WYSIWYG and you can plug in any HTML you want to anywhere you want to too. So - if you can't build a web site and don't know any HTML at all, get this and learn HTML as you go - but get your site up today! I love it. This one is well worth paying for. All programs should be this well designed.
Cons: Probably the most pressing thing that still needs to be improved is that it needs headline tags. Search engines read and weight paragraph headlines so I have to insert them myself using keyword rich headlines hl Your Headline Here /hl (Creates the largest headline) down to h6 Your Headline Here /h6 (Creates the smallest headline) myself to help. It would be nice if in the next version update they include a way to do that with the click of a button.

The newer version of Web Page Maker doesn't let you remove the "Generator" Web Page Maker Meta Tag. Bummer. BUT there is a way to get rid of it using a Binary Editor. Download a free binary editor and do this:
Make a copy of the original version 3.03 WebPageMaker.exe file first in case you screw up. Open the WebPageMaker.exe file with a binary editor. (Download for free - Brothersoft.com has one I think)
Do a search for the word "generator" (without the quotation marks).
Ignore the first one you see Change the second instance where you see Generator as follows:
generator...yyyy....Web Page Maker..yyy%...
Overwrite ONLY (very important! Do NOT overwrite anything else) just the words & spaces in Web Page Maker with your own text or with spaces. If your company name works, fine. If not maybe you can use your phone number. That's it. It's gone now for good & your competition will never know what you're using. -
Hey, back again. Someone asked about inserting H1 tags and is it easy. Sure. Go to "Insert" on the Web Page Maker menu and then down to "HTML Code or Script Code" and click it.
Now you paste in this code:THIS IS YOUR HEADLINE TEXT
(I hope that stays on the CNET comment) This headline is centered. For one that isn't centered use this:THIS IS YOUR HEADLINE TEXT
and just change the text that says THIS IS YOUR HEADLINE TEXT in between the two >< marks.
Then do a preview of it to make sure it looks right. If you're not an SEO then the H1 / H2 etc tags aren't that critical to your success. To make an H1 tag into an H2 (or any other all the way down to H6) just change any H1 that you see to H2 etc. -
Please explain having to insert headline tags, like is this a major task??
Thanks!
