"New forum for Web Page Maker"
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
Stated below on March 1, 2012--Web Page Maker is a nice software package but NO SUPPORT.
I too, have tried to contact Web Page Maker with no reply. In May of 2012 I started a support forum at http://s11.zetaboards.com/webpagemakerforum/index/ If you are still using this software please join this forum and share your help, tips, or questions.
I have emailed Web Page Maker and I hope some of their people will join the forum also.
This software is fast and easy to use. I still use Web Page Maker and I would like to keep it going. It is the ideal software for someone who wants to concentrate more on running their business and less on building their website.Cons
No support currently from Web Page Maker.

"Nice, easy software - but - No support."
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
Wonderful product. Inexpensive. Easy to use for someone who had NO experience prior to purchasing this. I have used it since 2008. Great built in FTP program makes it easy to upload to web servers.
Cons
This program has been wonderful for the last 4 years that I have used it, however, it appears that while they are still selling it, they have stopped supporting it. I attempted to contact their support several times over the last year. NO RESPONSE. This was not always the case. Furthermore, they WERE upgrading it at least yearly. NO UPGRADE since 2010. What is going on with them? So buyer, beware. There seems to be no one on the other end when you need them and they are not fixing 2 year old issues. So disappointing because I loved this software!

"Very Basic"
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
Relatively easy to use
Cons
Very limited on templates and mobility.
Summary
OK for a first start but the templates leave a lot to be desired. Difficult to try to change up existing templates (colors, layout, etc.)

"Web Page Maker is a Winner!"
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
Easy to use; Generates nice looking pages; imports standard HTML pages easily;
Cons
Limited graphics usage; a little pricey; that is about it for now...
Summary
I have a large website that is dedicated to Genealogy and Family history. The software that I use for the creation of it's database is RootsMagic 5, and it will also create reports in html code for use on websites. Web Page Maker (WPM) easily incorporated the html files on the website that I built with it. No problems at all, and the makeover of the website was very easily done this time.
No longer will I have to spend hundreds of hours in re-coding the website. Liked WPM so well, that I bought it!

"Good buy - I can recommend it."

Cons
None so far.

"Does not use *.html files but a proprietary format."
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
Had a quick play around, and it is simple enough to use and create a decent web site.
Cons
-Uses a proprietary format to save your pages, so you can create pages easily enough, but cannot open them with other software.
-Cannot easily open existing html files, you need to import them and when they open half the stuff is left off.Summary
I wouldn't recommend this even if it was free. Use Kompozer, which is very similar, is FREE and uses HTML files.

"Easy to use and no coding necessary...really!!"
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
I like its drag and drop functionality, browser preview, and uploading to web host directly from the program itself. Has the most common bells and whistles.
Cons
While it is a very good program, would like to see gradient background capabiliity, mouse-over popup images (has click pop-up), and comparing to other web builders with similar functions, it is priced a little more. Only a 15-day trial period.
Summary
I like the ease of use, produces good results, WYSIWYG, with no HTML coding required. I'm going to buy it, even though I think it costs a little too much. Can get a couple of others at same price with more features, but Web Page Maker is a lot easier to use from the start.

"I can use it"
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
It is easy to understand
Cons
Therefore I need more experience

"Excellent for web sites of simple to medium complexity"
Version: Web Page Maker 3.21
Pros
Intuitive interface and pre-built templates. A wealth of built-in features including mouseover image changes, special effects, paypal, and forms. Text is checked for spelling. The resulting HTML works with IE, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
Cons
There is a definite limit to how complex pages can be, and to plugging in external libraries such as JQuery. But there are a large number of web sites that can get by just fine without that complexity.
Summary
For anyone looking to build a good-looking web site without needing specialized expertise and without spending a lot of time or money, Web Page Maker is the perfect tool.
