Version: WeBuilder 2007 9
Pros: After plowing through probably a dozen free editors (PS Pad is my choice in that category) and several trial versions, I feel as if I've struck the mother lode. This is the only editor that allows not just code folding (collapsing currently irrelevant sections) but gives the choice of hiding selected code! Another feature, which can be found on some editors, is matching brackets -- shows what goes with what -- no small matter in PHP while and if structures. WeBuilder is filled with lots of other goodies. It's linked to LocalHost (I use WAMP) and the Preview tab at the bottom makes for easy viewing. Tabs at the bottom also include Horizontal and Vertical split screens.
The only program which comes close to this is PHP Designer, a pricey alternative.
Cons: Not free, but here you DO get what you pay for.

"A serious tool for the serious web developer."
Pros: This product is fast, elegant and feature packed. It has many of the tools a dedicated hand-coding craftsperson will love: snippets, keyboard shortcut customisation, auto-replace, code-complete, excellent CSS editing support, a highly configurable UI and more. The developers are friendly and responsive and the software is in very active development. Overall, a quality piece of software aimed at the hand-coding connoisseur and modern professional.
Cons: I've found a couple of bugs in places, but they are minor. There are too many toolbars switched on by default, making it look like just another bloated Windows editor (which is not the case). Some of these default toolbars are somewhat dubious, offering font tags and bold tags and generally 'old school' markup, making it feel a bit like an old school editor (again, this is not the case at all). Thankfully, these dodgy toolbars can be switched off and the [b] and [i] tag defaults changed to [strong] and [em], etc. turning the product into a lean, mean and thoroughly modern editor.

Version: WeBuilder 2007 7.1.0.66
Pros: PHP, CSS XHTML, HTML Tidy, clean readable code, easy to format, and an sql browser/connection help function. Amazing product, has gotten me away from Dreamweaver
Cons: I do wish for a way to select part of the page in preview and then have it go directly to that section in the code.

Version: WeBuilder 2007 6.1
Pros: I love this product, if I had the money I would certainly buy it, it has a very nice user-friendly layout which is similar to Microsoft Frontpage and it can edit about 6 different languages very effectively.
Cons: It only has a few minor cons, it also doesn't have all HTML tags, but overall this is a truly exellent piece of software and I can't recommend it enough, 5/5.
Note: This isn't one of those that can be used with no coding knowledge, you will need to know atleast one of the languages to use this product.

"One of the best HTML editors out there."
Pros: Integrated previews, runnable from a flash drive, lower price than its competitors, and great syntax highlighting.
Cons: No design view, and limited Firefox testing.
