"Designed by geeks for geeks with life to waste"
No de-clipping facility
Terrible VST (plug-in) interface
I discovered this program in a review and it was number one as best audio editor. The reviewer obviously never tried to use it properly.
At first glance this program looks pretty comprehensive, but on my first use of it (editing and cleaning the vocal track from a DAW) I found it to be really clumsy. The fact that there are no keystrokes included really adds to the monotony and slowness of tasks. I then thought I might save time by applying a plug-in, but the interface is truly awful - designed by geeks for geeks who like to do things the hard way. It all depends on hours of trial and error just to get one plug-in (in my case an audio limiter) to be set as required. In the end I gave up and proceeded with manual editing of levels to achieve the same effect, but the omission of keystrokes made this drearily slow!
I'm used to using the Magix Audio Editor but thought I'd give this a go, and frankly wish I hadn't wasted five hours of my life on an editing project I'm about to scrap, together with this awful program. Life is just too short to waste on this.
