Version: WavePad 1.2
"Nice Product... Free for a while"
Pros: Software seems to do everythign that I wanted. Cleaned up some voice audio files and linked them together... nothing fancy
Cons: Product advertised as "Free". After 30 days you can still modify files, but you cannot save your changes or modified files. Software is worthless after 30 days unless you buy the Master Edition. With 4 days to go before expiry you are offered the license for half price, then after it expires you can get it for 30% off. After 15 more days you pay full price. If you like it, but it sooner rather than later. I thought it was advertised as free with no limitations... not!

I have been using WavePad (various free versions) for over a year now, and none of them have shut down after a period of time. Currently I'm using Version 2.0, and although a nag screen pops up from time to time encouraging me to buy the Master's Edition, I click No Thanks and continue into the software. Maybe you should check NCH Swift's site and download the actual free version; it's possible you downloaded only the trial of the Master's Edition, which may expire. There IS a free version, and IT WORKS GREAT, NO LIMITATIONS! :)
