Version: WavePad Sound Editor 4.20
"Great software, but $26.60 to buy? Where do I sign up?"
Pros: I just used this software to clip out a section of an MP3 recording I have. I added a fade in and fade out and saved it - all in about 15 mintutes without having to read a single instruction. Now that is user friendly.
Cons: According to the NCH site, this software is $76 (although they'll give you a deal and sell it for $49.40) and then there are well over a hundred dollars in options. Maybe cnet just made a mistake but this feels a bit bait and switchy to me.

"Excellent Audio Editing Program"
Pros: This is an excellent audio editor! It does everything I need it to do. Even the free version is advanced enough to manipulate the sound to create your own sounds.
Cons: Can't believe they can do this for free!
Summary: My experience with this product was great! I also enjoyed playing with their free tone generator to create a wide variety of sounds. I highly recommend this software and NCH Software. read more
