"Nice Product... Free for a while"

    February 2, 2006  |   By BigBlockRumble

Version: WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition 1.2

    Pros

Software seems to do everythign that I wanted. Cleaned up some voice audio files and linked them together... nothing fancy

    Cons

Product advertised as "Free". After 30 days you can still modify files, but you cannot save your changes or modified files. Software is worthless after 30 days unless you buy the Master Edition. With 4 days to go before expiry you are offered the license for half price, then after it expires you can get it for 30% off. After 15 more days you pay full price. If you like it, but it sooner rather than later. I thought it was advertised as free with no limitations... not!

"exactly what i was looking for"

    January 27, 2006  |   By stevezilla68

Version: WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition 1.2

    Pros

yep, this is exactly what i was looking for: a simple free-ware program to tweak .WAV and .MP3 files into ringers for my cell phone. The interface is pretty straightforward; the sound file is displayed as a graphic wave with controls for fading in, fading out, trim, change speed, echo, reverb, insert from clipboard, etc. The real plus for me was the ability to save the finished file in a variety of formats and various levels of quality. Bonus points for supporting AAC, flac, m4a, and OGG. yaaaay!

    Cons

the interface seems a little dated in an old-school kinda way; very Win-95. I think it's classy, clean, and retro, but some might think it's out-of-date.

"Time saver for the novice audio file editor"

    January 26, 2006  |   By s1parks

Version: WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition 1.2

    Pros

Wave Pad quickly proved itself. For a while I was searching for a program that could edit/convert mp3 to WAV format with no success. As an Industrial Designer, I use the media that I edit with Wave Pad to insert into other program files such as powerpoint presentations, 3D StudioMax Animations, and Flash Movies. Wave Pad is short, sweet, and to the point with easy to navigate tools, which make the rigorous deadlines that coincide with the design world a lot less stressful. Wave Pad is also an all in one program, with plugins that allow for CD Ripping and Copying. If time is a precious commodity to you, and you dont want to take the time to learn an overly complicated program, then this is waht you want. Just for reference, I was able to perform most functions of this program within a half hour of playing with it.

    Cons

Installing is a little complicated, but the complication I encountered could have been avoided if I had paid more attention. Toolset and workspace could stand a little more attention to detail, but then again, Im a designer and big on deatails. Judge for yourself, but you wont be disappointed.

"Editing and recording very easy! and seems to be free..."

    December 24, 2005  |   By E1Vsn

Version: WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition 1.2

    Pros

A complete program, able to save in several formats, easy but single editing tools, great because the programs included like record pad sound are easy to use and very usefull. The best for me out of 4 tried.

    Cons

After about 12 days it stopped to work, they ask for $$$$ to registering, so reading again the reviews I thought something was wrong, so I unistalled it from my pc, then installed again and now is working fine again, not a clue of why both things happended.

"Not super easy, but does the job"

    December 22, 2005  |   By rakkar

Version: WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition 1.2

    Pros

you only download what you need, which is a pro and a con. Software is good, does what it needs to do, the components work together pretty well.

    Cons

Downloading the extra parts is a bit of a pain.

Version: WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition 1.2

    Pros

I downloaded this product to edit some Live Recordings . I found it real easy to use and it worked fairly well .

    Cons

However , almost before 30 days of having this on my computer although the Ad Says the License is Free They still want you to buy it . SO is it free or not ? They have different purchase options . It says free with no time limitations .
