Version: WavePad Free Edition 3.02
"THIS IS NOT FREEWARE"
Pros: It does what it says, but NOT for free. This is TRIALWARE.
Cons: CNET Needs to re-classify this program. Deceptive crap like this really pisses people off.
I know how to search for Trialware, shareware, and commercial software.
Tricking me into downloading this thinking it is Freeware, will forever sour me on all their products.
Especially since there are CHEAPER software packages that do far more than wavepad does.
So why the hell would I want to pay a premium for fewer features?
I guess that's why the makers of this software think it's necessary to pull a fast one in hopes that some less resourseful people will get hooked and pay their premium price after the trial expires.

The download from CNET is really free. After 14 days you get an option to buy the Master's Edition upgrade but you can click No and the software continues working in the basic free mode.
We don't really understand the comment from johnnyincentx. It is possible he downloaded the Master's Edition from some other site.
