"Won't Install"
Version: Wave Splitter 2.10
Pros
None You can't use it if you can't install it.
Cons
It refused to install. It kept setting off my Anti-Virus program. There's some kind of file in there that the Norton system doesn't like.
Summary
Junk!

"Works as Advertised"
Version: Wave Splitter 2.10
Pros
Very simple to use. Just mark the cut points using a button while listening to the audio and save the new file. Very nice tool.

"not enough needed functionality"
Version: Wave Splitter 2.10
Pros
Easy-to-use interface
Cons
For me, a WAV sampler wihtout a FADE-IN or FADE-OUT is not really of any use. Typically the pieces of music you'll be sampling will be very loud at the point of the sample and this usually unwanted effect needs to be minimised with a FADE-IN or FADE-OUT. Liked it on first use but uninstalled it 15 mins later.

"Gets the job done quickly and easily"
Version: Wave Splitter 2.10
Pros
It's a great tool for cutting wav files, I had a 2 hr long wav file and it only took me 45 minutes to have it cut into 20 tracks like I wanted it!
Cons
It would be nice if it measured in seconds instead of milliseconds.

"Just what I was looking for."
Version: Wave Splitter 2.10
Summary
In my industry, I sometimes need to take sound files and submit them to my peers. I had a sound file that was too low in amplitude and I needed a program to amplify it. Wave Splitter did an excellent job of it, and saved me from having to develop my own software. I like the graphical interface, and the ease of cutting sections of a file out.
Hats off to the creators of this freeware. GJ guys. -
