Pros
I have used Digi-watcher for a few years and I love it!!!! Recently I upgraded my computer but I forgot my registration code, emailed for a code and was impressed by their swift reply. I need digi-watcher as teen ages. It has all the necessary features, among which, I use monitoring most often.
Cons
Too many instruction dialog in the software, not necessary for old users.

"Very unstable"

Lots of features (but it crashes before I could try them).
Cons
Crashes after a few seconds or minutes.
When I tried certain settings for the type of camera, it even caused Windows to crash !! (reboot)
My system is a genuine Windows XP, otherwise very stable, with enough memory and disk space.Summary
Do not trust the good impression that the unregistered version can make (in my case, it seemed to work well).
I want a refund. -

"Sloppy and ugly"

Seems to address fundamental purpose of app.
Cons
Purple shading overlaying standard windows dialogs which makes text harder to read. Under email alerts the drop down selection for "What to attach" is to small to see the options, ditto "Subject". Blank button for help instead of "?".

The setup seemed more complicated than it was -- since I knew to run ipconfig from the command line from window to find out the IP address of my computer, then in "Listen" mode I could easily watch and listen on another PC In the house.
Cons
It starts flashing after 10 or 20 minutes like a strobe light sometimes and the viewer (not the cam software luckily) crashes a lot. The setup is saved so I can easily run it again every time but that just feels cheap to me -- I spent $40 on this.
Summary
It sends an email and actually calls my phone on a motion capture -- pretty cool, and mocap sensitivity is adjustable but occasional video artifacts can set it off. I am disappointed that the viewing software crashes a lot and goes all wacky like a strobe light sometimes (ultra-low light situation may be the trigger?). I am using an Alienware with Win7 and everything should be totally stable so why??.

Pros
Software opens flawlessly every time and settings remain set. Ease of playback. Can open several instances on same PC with one license. In my experience, it worked far better than several higher priced brands I tried.
Cons
It would be nice if it could discriminate between separate webcams which use a common driver.
Summary
For me Digi-Watcher provides an excellent and cost effective foundation for creating an alarmed motion sensing video surveillance system using inexpensive web cams.
