What's new in this version:
Version 1.35 has improved compatibility with Windows Vista/7.
The game was very fun to play and the story line was excellant. Turns were easy and straight forward. The AI system was very good. Watch out it loves weak units and will go out of its way to destroy them. Air power and artillery are the AI's favorite units. The AI firmly believes in repairing damaged units and does so frequently.
Turnbased strategy game on a hexmap. Easy to use interface. (If you liked Panzer General, you'll like this.) Nice graphics. AI is OK to good on hard difficulty, and does not cheat. Somewhat different unit mixes on the respective sides. Scouting is an essential gameplay element. Well worth the money (~$20).
AI needs to scout more aggressively. (If it doesn't see you, it doesn't search you out.) Completely linear campaigns. UI requires alot of clicking in later missions where you have a lot of units.
First of all it smells like Panzer General to me, except it is set in future. Each unit has only two action points so duration of the turns is quite short. Instead of hard thinking you can handle situation right away. Even small mistake don't ruin all things. I did not need to use load game except in some very hard battles. General impression: Quite a funny game.
Graphic, especially controls could be better but on the other side the batteground is well-arranged and you can always notice all important things.
