From Luxor Development:
VolumeInfo is a little tool for your menu bar. If you click on the VolumeInfo icon, a menu will pop up which will contain a list of your mounted Volumes and Disks. Each of the Volumes listened there have got a submenu which contains informations about the disk space and its usage. You also are able to show the volume in the Finder or get a little overview over its content.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. â?¢I'd like to be able to move the menu bar icon to the right so it's always visible on my 12" iBook. I've several 3rd party menu bar icons and I'd settle for having Volume Info at the head of *that* line. Otherwise it's hidden most of the time. (I think this is an Apple thing and their control of the APIs or something, so there may not be much the author can do about that.)
â?¢I too would like to see the boot volume name instead of /, or at least know the reason for not displaying it.
â?¢I'd like to see the volume values carried out to one or two decimal places instead of six.
â?¢Remaining space should be shown in MB when less than 1GB rather than a six place GB decimal fraction in GB. (I hate doing the math.)
â?¢I'd like to see an intelligence implant for the impaired who downgrade an app they haven't even used because they couldn't download it. ***?! (Not much the author can do about those, either.) To the impaired, one word: Commentary
I *really* like this app. And I really like that showing the contents is optional. It's handy for some, but I don't need it. I'd give it 4.5 stars if possible.
...aussierick's low score This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. aussierick, just because you can 't download the file doesn't mean you have to give the PROGRAM a bad rating. Complain to his ISP.
Consider adding options to show/hide network, mounted, and optical drives.
Also an options to show/hide the 'Network' item and 'Servers' options.
Also change the label of the boot drive from '/' to the actual name of the drive.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I tried to download this 6 times using various browsers, and the first time I was able to mount the disk, but it seemed only half downloaded, so the application didn't launch. The next five times, the disk image would not mount and I received an error when I tried again to get a full copy. I think that six times was more that enough attempts to try to use this application, so I will say that it does not perform as it is described because I am unable to even try it
