"I couldn't get it to work!"
Version: Vocal Remover (Winamp) 1.03
Summary
I downloaded the Vocal Remover software and followed the few directions in the ReadMe file and could not get the program to work. I visited the website and could find no information there on how to get it to work. Even though the ReadMe file gave a URL to visit, I found nothing pertaining to the Analogx Vocal Remover at that URL. I spent an entire afternoon trying to find where the section for Vocal Remover was within my WinAmp and finally I uninstalled it.
An earlier reviewer stated that he was happy with the program once he got it to work. To that reviewer I ask: What did you do to get it to work? Perhaps the Vocal Remover people could add your info to the ReadMe file. Trying to get the Vocal Remover to work has been an exercise in futility. I would not recommend this product. -
"Simply Does Not Work"
Version: Vocal Remover (Winamp) 1.03
Summary
This plug-in is easy enough to install for anyone who is familiar with Winamp plug-ins. Once, installed, however, this plug-in simply does not do a very good job of removing vocals from the playback. Apparantly, this plug-in operates under some assumptions about the recording track that just do not hold for most songs. You can give it a try since it is free, but do not get your hopes up that this plug-in will remove vocals enough for you to become the "king of karaoke."

"Couldn't get this to work!"
Version: Vocal Remover (Winamp) 1.03
Summary
I followed the instructions and nothinmg happened. The installation instruction were next-to-useless and the info on the website was about as much use. I wouldn't waste your time.

"Worth a go"
Version: Vocal Remover (Winamp) 1.03
Summary
Once you have figured out how to actually get this programme to run (I had to read the "read me" file a few times before I realised how to use it) It works quite well, although if you use it with tracks that have a huge phase shift difference in each channel the effects can be quite strange.
With a little practice however the vocals can be at best "removed" and at worst reduced by this simple to operate (not set up) utiity -
"Worth a try"
Version: Vocal Remover (Winamp) 1.03
Summary
this first version is worth a try. At least you can reduce to almost 90% of vocal voice. But the soundstream quality is a bit buzzing
