  Pros

  Really can speed up a Vista PC. Easy to set up and use.

  Cons

  Not really any use for Windows7 in a networked home environment.

  Summary

  I used this a lot when I had Vista. Since upgrading to Win7 I've noticed that Win7 seems not to start as many background services. I also run network printers and backup over the network, plus network hard drives. I wasn't trusting VSO in this environment.

  Vista Services Optimizer was first made to Windows Vista which suffered very low performance, however you can use it on Windows 7 which can be further tweaked for maximum performance.
  
  Do not forget Smart Rescue Center, which contains all the tools to backup and restore default settings if something went wrong.
