Publisher's description
From Ilan Papini :Virtual Sailor simulates the entire marine environment from a sailboat's perspective and makes it into a complete sailing experience (see screen shots). Players will experience accurate wind and wave dynamics. The program has many special effects for simulating a day or night marine environment. There is a huge land and sea environment based on real topographic data. You can simulate a race with other boats and include wind shadow effects.
Virtual Sailor was built using the latest technology in 3D graphic acceleration and sound mixing. This is a simple-to-use program that does not require using marine terminology, and is built to expand using open formats for all files, making third-party scenery add-ons as easy as possible. This version adds many new features including new boat types such as speed boats, jetskis, and dinghies, and an improved instrument panel with new functions.
Virtual Sailor is a beautiful game through and through. The graphics are lush and realistic. The sounds are real. Players will actually feel like they are sailing on the the great seas. You'll want to jump into your monitor to feel the sea air. The demo runs for three minutes and has one scenery area. Registration costs $25.
