"excellent program for a wedding DJ"
Pros
Ease of use, being able to cue up 12 players at the same time, the EQ makes my laptop sound better than a CD, auto play, inexpensive
Cons
Has worked flawlessly for over a year. 1 WARNING... do not change the display on your screen. The play button does not function at over 96DPI
Summary
I was probably one of the last DJs to make the switch from dual CD player to digital. Yes, I was still lugging around 170 pounds of CDs 2 years ago! I tried many of the popular DJ programs, Virtual DJ, Traktor, PCDJ, etc and wasn't impressed enough to stay with them.
Then I stumbled into Virtual DJ Studio and downloaded the trial version. I told my wife that I liked the way this program looks and would probably be using it after having a few days to get used to it. After an hour of playing around with it on my home computer I was convinced I could handle it so I downloaded it to my DJ Laptop.
One of the things that kept me from going digital was the fact that even though I had a blazing fast laptop with tons of storage the sound card in it sounded like and old AM radio. I bought a mini mixer to bump up the sound to at least OK... but it just wasn't the quality I was used to hearing. Once I fired up the VDJ Studio and tweaked the EQ I was amazed at the sound I got. A little more tweaking and I was already convinced that this program is the answer to me going Digital!
Later on I discovered that you can right click a song that is playing and a mini EQ pops up so you can shape just the song playing without messing with your main mix... what a great feature. Also although it doesn't play every format of karaoke, it does play most of them and how cool to be able to drag and drop and have the screen automatically pop up when a Karaoke song starts!
I love that I can cue up several songs, hot the trigger (auto play) feature, and go out and mingle with the guests, hit the bathroom, whatever I need to do with out worrying about the music stopping. I use the last player for dinner music and just let it rip so it gives me time to go around an get requests.
This is a great program and we have recommended it to hundreds of DJs in our network... most are using it now as their main player. You owe it to yourself to get the full version 30 day trial, I think you'll buy it and it will be one of the best $30 bills you ever spent :D
Happy Spinning!

I can't seem to get much info on this system, so please help. We have a karaoke program now that has over 100,000 songs, saves histroy, etc but we are selling that one as the sound is not very good. It cost $300.00 bucks with monthyl fee for updates. Is this similar to that or is this just a part of that??? I can't wrap my head around the $30.00 versus $300.00??? Help!!!!
