"Definitely still virused- OpenCandy."
None. Zilch. Not a cracker. Firefox 7 doesn't allow it.
MSSE alerted me after I ran the CNet downloader package which is clean. (I removed the virus (only) after MSSE warning as I'd hoped it might be safe to run without the virus.)
The CNet downloader is clean. But running the downloader redirects to http://applian.com/download_file.php?src=vixy.net&file=FCTBSetup.exe. According to Google safe browsing both applian and vixy sites are SAFE!!! Nevertheless either MSSE and other anti-virals are finding a false positive or (much more likely) copyright owners are deliberately virusing sites or programs which can be used to save streaming video streams. Again- IT IS NOT SAFE TO RUN THE CNET INSTALLER.
Anyway Firefox 7 displayed 'Not compatible' as soon as it installed the .xpi file. Perhaps the install failed because the virus was missing? CNet should really do something about this- the complaints have been consistent for over 6 months. I will have words with them.
