I wonder if that's really video edit software...even expansive ? ! ? Too much poor of effects & transitions , neither precise nor easy to use . Interface remind me Middle Ages softwares . Even Windows Movie Maker can customize a video much better than MAGIC...& that's eloquent...explains all to know about ! Latest video edit softwares are fantastic...so i wonder who will spend 70 $ to buy this awful app !

Depending of what you want to do, It can be very good. Didnt try all the options.
At least, very professionnal interface and very pro.
Cons
If you want to Capture video from a VHS or DVD player trough a TV tuner card into a AVI file, mp3-192 kpbs and divx codec, an error happen and you just cannot do it. No option to stop the audio bug of mono-sterio effect, so you can have a huge echo for each sound.
But you can record uncompressed perfect quality about 300 mb per minute.

great layout and easy drag and drop, can add almost any file to timeline
Cons
all effect settings return to zero when reopening a saved file, even audio setting went to zero. Freezes if working on it too long and then try to make a movie file...Nope..it just sits there and its computer reset time. Is this annoying????

Making a 7 minutes movie from MPEG2 files (coming from a Sony camera) and storing it as MPEG2 for PAL is quite long, requires too much memory, and gives a bad result (geometry of image changed) -
I am trying to change from Pinnacle Studio 8 to another, and this is not the good one. -

Although Video Edit Magic is a poor name for an app, it works very well and creates all types of video. Its editing functions are clear and easy to use, too. Video Edit Magic does more for the price than any other video creation/editing software.
