delighta. com offers a lot more than SMS backup. Check them out. No need to download an app. You can sign up at their website or just my texting your Gmail user id (e.g. jake@gmail.com) to 1-408-357-4815.

This app does nothing more than SMS backup. Others like delighta. com offer a lot more functionality.
