Version: VersionTracker Pro 4.1
Cons: It does scan your computer for free, but doesn't tell you what you have to update on it after it's done! Even if it is a paid product, it should at least let you see what you need/should update on your computer so you'd know if it's worth the $30.

Pros: Not a thing. I remember when Download.com used to offer a completely FREE version of this... And it had direct links to actually update what you needed, no clickthrough ad banner counter cookie crap. What ever happened to that version?? While I'm all for software developers making money, screwing people over with false software isn't cool.
Cons: This is utter crapola. It finds items that are NOT out of date, it suggests updating items that are already up to date, suggest things you don't need, or it just skips the ones that are out of date and doesn't even let you know about them. Pathetic. Don't waste your time downloading this piece of trash...

"RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS"
Pros: I was lucky I had a problem in the purchace screen.
Cons: This is so dissapointing that Cnet would put out a program like this that is worthless. I now have problems trusting their reviews if they think this junk is a "good buy". WRONG!!!! How sad....

Pros: VersionTracker Pro is one of the most popular programs on CNET. It checks your installed drivers and offers upgrade details and thats ok...until..
Cons: You can't upgrade anything until you buy the full version..they should make it upgrade one driver at least..or make it free..like these programs I found today:

They are useful and free..so..CNET TechTracker..give your users the chance to test VersionTracker or no one is gonna pay a dollar for this program..
